Trinity

We are surrounded by foods,
Rich, exotic, tempting fare
And choices and flowers,
Colours and symmetry,
Shelved and boxed and batched.
We drip food.

Lord, are we grateful enough
For all the pouring goodness?
Are we sufficiently mindful
Of those who cannot afford,
Those who have too little,
Those on a line where there is no bread?

Lord, let us pray for a sharing.
Let us pray for the starving.
