Christ, You swallowed death
In victory, took away our fear,
Died to give us passageway,
Unbarred chains of our captivity,
Bought for us an end of end,
Took the sting from death,
So we rejoice that our mortality,
Death of filth and sores, is no end,
But trumpets us to heaven.
So, Lord, we labour not in vain,
But hold You in our sight,
As You gave us everlasting,
Buried death at Calvary, and won for us
Exchange, life over death.
